Tuesday - (2 hr express train ride to hotel in Qinghuangdao and visit to the beginning of the Great Wall -The Old Dragon Head)
We finally check out of the hotel in Shenyang and head for Qinghuangdao on the bullet train. The bullet train travels at about 150 mph, and it was quite an experience. When we arrived at Qinghuangdao, we had about 30 seconds to grab our luggage and personal belongings, drag them through the narrow aisle, and get off that train. It was definitely nerve wracking for some of us. We made it to our bus, where Chucky met us, and we went out for lunch. After lunch, we checked into the hotel, and then we headed to the starting point of the Great Wall. It was pretty amazing to see two different parts of the Great Wall in two cities.
One of the best lunches of the trip. Mr. Liu recommended we try the baby clams and he was right. They were delicious.

A couple actually came up to Eric and asked him to take a photo. Apparently, the tourists thought he was Josh from the Nickelodeon show Drake and Josh.

...and then Kristen was dragged in for a photo-op...
...and then Zach. The Chinese really loved his hair.
A shot of the labyrinth from the commander's tower. The emperor watched from the tower as the potential troops would train in this area.

I thought it was funny that a Russian family asked to take a picture of me and their daughter. Apparently, she has the pose down packed and I just stood there not knowing what to do.

Alex being Alex.
